Wind mesh is an incredibly versatile product which is specially made to withstand large wind loads and the harsh Australian climate. It is able to be applied in many different scenarios ranging from scaffolding to temporary fences, between fence poles which allows for many great advertising opportunities and allows for visually appealing worksites.
Wind mesh provides a much more permeable result than other printing solutions, it’s a much more open weave and perforated material to allow for more wind to flow through the mesh which in turn puts less load on the structure to which it is attached. Because it is a more perforated product, the print quality isn’t as high as our premium product but still provides a fantastic finish. The coated substrate allows the ink to be very well absorbed and all of our fencing mesh banners use a fully UV stabilised printing process through large 5 metre printers. This enables long lasting, highly detailed finished products.
Printed banner mesh is far more suited to construction sites that are going to experience heavy wind loads. Using mesh banners on temporary fencing allows for a very cost effective outdoor advertising option. Fence mesh and overall fencing signs are perfect for creating strong brand recognition.
This process allows our products to be durable and highly detailed. The size of the project isn’t of any concern to our team as we have provided our clients with hundreds of kilometres worth of branded fence mesh in the past.
Mesh Direct has a great logistics network and therefore can produce large orders of banner mesh and can usually guarantee the delivery of your banners within 10 days from the date of payment confirmation and/or artwork approval.
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT – Wind Mesh
One of the biggest issues when dealing with temporary fences is that sometimes when the winds get up and if the fences aren’t braced correctly i.e There’s star pickets in or you’ve got something holding back the fence onsite and the winds get up, it tends to load the fence up and often this can lead to too much load on the fence and it can fall over.
So we do have a few solutions to this and one of these is in fact to use our new 6 x 6 wind mesh. Our wind mesh has a much more open weaved, much more perforated which allows more wind to actually go through the actual mesh so hence putting less load on the actual fencing. We have taken particular attention and conducted some wind loading tests and you can speak to us about getting copies of that if you would like your engineers to have a look at it.
Advantages of the 6 x 6 mesh is that it is more open weaved letting more wind through and still looking pretty good. A slight disadvantage is because it is more open weaved you’re not printing on as much material. So you tend to lose a little bit of vibrancy, however, as you can see here it still looks great.
